Keith’s Ordination
5th – 9th November 2008 was a special time both for Equip 4 Success and our family, as we travelled to the Isle of Capri, Italy for Keith’s ordination.
The weekend was a retreat for members of the Ark Community (www.thearkcommunity.org) and was a special time of teaching and encouragement. Jenny ran parallel meetings for the children where they learnt about living God’s way – ‘The Best Way to Live’ – through Bible teaching, activities and craft.
The culmination of the weekend was a Communion Service on Sunday 9th November during which Father Robert Wise, the Archbishop to whom we relate, ordained Keith as a Priest within the CEEC, according to the tradition of apostolic succession (see ‘Apostolic Succession’ for details). Friends and family watched as Keith made his vows to serve God and received a Bible and Cross to symbolise his God-given authority to teach the Word and minister Holy Communion. Father Robert then prayed for him.
During the weekend Equip 4 Success was also officially launched as Father Robert prayed for and blessed the ministry.
The weekend marked a significant point in our lives and we are grateful to God, and the people to whom He has linked us, for empowering us to serve Him more effectively.

Update on ministry in France
Keith has been travelling to Avignon for the last 3 months to run the Bible College at La Maison de L’Eternel and minister in the church. This has been very fruitful, with the number of students increasing monthly, and all being ministered to and encouraged to grow in their walk with God. Keith will continue to travel to France every month, and his family are hoping to accompany him in the New Year. Keith has also been approached to start a second Bible College in Montellimar (South of Paris).

New opportunities
Keith and Jenny have been invited to work with a Christian organisation called GMC India, which is very similar to Equip 4 Success.
This would involve travelling to Vijayawada in May and October 2009 to minister to leaders and children’s workers, and is an exciting prospect for us.

At the end of May 2008, Keith, Jenny and their eldest daughter Emelia traveled to Avignon, France to minister to the leaders and congregation of La Maison de l’Eternel.
It was a special weekend both for Equip 4 Success and the church in France, as people were taught, challenged and encouraged, and divine connections were formed. Following the visit, Keith has recently accepted the responsibility of setting up and running the first year of the Church’s new Bible School. Following is a report from one of the leaders of La Maison de l’Eternel.
It was through a God-ordained meeting that I first met Keith and Jenny Poole of Equip 4 Success, during the Ark Community’s 2008 Winter Retreat near Padua, Italy. Despite our varied cultural experiences from America to France and from England to South Africa, it seems we had known each other forever. Isn’t that the way when we are truly led of His Spirit?
During a moment of local, French church transition just a few months later, I was pleased to find that the Pooles are true ministers of the Good News. They are committed to praying for Christians they know and those they’ve never met from around the world. My pastor, Eric Gabillas, and our leadership team were pleasantly surprised at the genuine and generous spirit of Keith and Jenny as they offered to travel to our church for a weekend of ministry of encouragement.
Keith ministered the living Word of God to the congregation healing from an emotional season of change. He brought hope and life through his teachings and the signs following. The family’s ease and adaptability to join us in our homes and in our church, and to interact professionally and casually through inexperienced translators, reflected the graciousness of the love of Christ.
As our church has become La Maison de l’Eternel in Avignon, France, we are excited to gain the commitment of Keith and his Bible College teaching and administration experiences to help us launch our first year of the Ecole Biblique d’Avignon. Continuing to work beyond borders and cultures, we have high hopes that Keith’s ministry of the Word of God will continue to transform our leadership team, our church members, and our communities in the south of France.
May God receive all of the glory for his “good and faithful” servant and handmaiden who labor well in His harvest of souls.

Keith and Jenny Poole arrived in our little village of Sarrians and the connection was instantly made. We have appreciated the exchanges and we have seen ourselves connected to each other.
We don’t know how or why we have this connection, but it’s like a puzzle for which God is responsible for putting together all of the pieces. From our point of view, it’s like a beautiful countryside in which a wonderful work of art is developing.
We praise God for this relationship with the Pooles to aide us with this work to save souls in France. We are very proud to have Keith and Jenny as our partners.
And this is just a beginning..
With all of our hearts,
Pastors Eric and Jocelyne Gabillas
