The following statement contains the beliefs of Equip 4 Success. All of our teaching and training programs are based on and consistent with this statement:

The Scriptures, Old and New Testament, are inspired of God and breathed by the Holy Spirit, being the revelation of God to man. They are infallible containing no contradictions or errors.

There is one God Who is revealed in three persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, known as the Trinity, all equal in power and glory. One God Who is Spirit, infinite, eternal and unchangeable in His being, wisdom and power, holiness, justice, goodness and truth.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Word made flesh. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death as our substitute, rose again in bodily form and ascended to the right hand of the Father where He is our representative before God’s throne.

The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, not merely a force or an influence, but with a distinct personality. He is the third Person of the Trinity.

Salvation (eternal life) is a free gift from God. It cannot be earned in any way and is received by faith in Jesus Christ by anyone who believes that He died as their substitute to forgive them of their sins. They thus become a child of God – a new creation in Christ.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit is vitally important for believers, empowering and equipping them for God’s service, with the gifts of the Holy Spirit being displayed. This enduement of power is for life and service. The experience is subsequent to the new birth and is evidenced by the sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance.

Divine healing is for all believers and is part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement.

Christians are to be progressively changed into the image of Jesus Christ in a process known as sanctification. This work of grace commences at the new birth and continues until the Church is raptured, when we will receive a glorified body.

Water baptism is by complete immersion and is a commandment of God for all believers. It symbolises identification with Christ through his death, burial and resurrection.

Communion is the regular partaking of the bread and cup as symbolic of the broken body and shed blood of Jesus. As Christians take communion they are remembering Jesus, and in particular His death and resurrection, and giving thanks for the benefits of salvation. It is also a time of celebrating communion with God and each other.

There is one true Church – those redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. It is essential that one is ‘born again’ and has put their trust in Christ as Saviour to be part of this Church. Church attendance does not qualify a person to be part of the Church; the transforming work of the Holy Spirit must be evident in their life to become part of the body of Christ. The Church is called to fulfil the Great Commission of which every believer is a part.

Jesus Christ is coming again for His Church. The Church is to be raptured and those who have fallen asleep in Christ will be resurrected.

Satan exists and is the real enemy of Christians, not being an impersonal force but having personal attributes. The believer has been given authority over him in the name of Jesus Christ.
